This is a unique opportunity to join QBS Software, a rapidly growing, dynamic IT company in Wembley. QBS require a passionate, energetic and motivated IT Engineer - IT Manager wishing to move into IT Infrastructure Management and the provision of Cloud Services combined with the management of a small helpdesk serving both internal and external users. The ideal candidate will be the go-to resource, managing a small internal support team and will have an equal interest in developing their career in Cloud Services as much as being responsible for all aspects of running the company IT infrastructure and the helpdesk. The applicant should have excellent attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This is a hands-on role and any applicant must have the capability and confidence to ensure the continued operation of all ICT hardware and software utilised by the company. The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner and predominately uses the Microsoft stack of technologies. The applicant must have a solid understanding and certifications in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Hyper-V, VPN, IIS, FTP, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, as well as IT security and an understanding of IP-based telecoms. Experience: Minimum 2 years in 3rd Line Support Preferred 3 years in IT Infrastructure Management Preferred 2 years of managing a team Understanding of and exposure to ITIL Service Desk Management Concrete understanding of DR and BCP. Will maintain and test DR and BCP plans Desired Technical Skills: OS – Server: Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016 and for Workstation – Windows 10 Productivity applications: MS Office 2016, Adobe CC, BlueBeam Revu Server Roles: Active Directory, GPO management, Hyper-V 2012 R2 with Replication, IIS 6 & 8, FTP, DNS, DHCP, RDS, VPN, Windows Scheduler, WSUS Key Platforms: SQL Server 2012 with SSRS, Exchange 2016 in DAG environment, GFI Mail Essentials, PRTG and/or Solarwinds NPM, NTA, SAM monitoring, ESET IP-based internal telephony system Solid understanding of Information Security best practices with exposure to PCI-DSS Network infrastructure from physical cabling to switches, routers, firewall configuration Familiarity with Dell Servers, Sonicwall Firewalls, HP basic switching Windows Clustering Services Working knowledge of VLANs Imaging for PC deployment experience Macrium Reflect Server / Server Plus backups VEEAM P2V, V2V Carry out risk assessments on IT Infrastructure Procure hardware, software and related services Maintain relationships with various software manufacturers and vendors Represent the company at various IT-related trade shows, events and seminars Plan, implement and maintain hardware/software lifecycle plans Candidates with existing Microsoft Certifications will be in a stronger position, however, the willingness to maintain & acquire certifications via QBS in Microsoft and other key platforms is an unconditional requirement for this role.
