Health & Safety Compliance Support Officer · Salary – Negotiable on Experience c£25k · Additional Benefits · Central Manchester based The Company Our client is Manchester’s premier Commercial Interior Fit-Out specialist who design, fit-out and refurbish offices, creating workplaces that enhance their clients business processes and support them enabling a more effective and responsive way of working to be adopted. The Role Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager they require a Compliance Support Officer responsible for providing support to the compliance team and to assist in the provision of a professional and effective Compliance system within the business. Duties · Liaising with Project teams and employees, booking training courses, ensuring hard copies of certification is in place and up to date. · Registering sites to the Considerate Constructors Scheme, eventually “championing” the scheme, creating poster packs and providing best practice guidance for site teams. · Audit site set up checklist, ensuring sites have received delivery in full, regular communication with warehouse and site teams is required. · Scheduled compliance audits of Performance Targets and Measures, monitoring of KPI’s · Provide administrative support to the H&S Manager, filling audits, accidents etc. Carrying out other duties as required by the H&S Manager. · Attend Health and Safety Meetings as required. · Compliance checks of process, ensuring site file checklist is complete before issuing to site teams. (CPHSP, F10, PCI, RAMS, Inductions a ll in place) · Logging and management of returned site documents (admin to scan) The Compliance support officer will be expected to demonstrate a willingness to learn, following a personal development plan put in place by the H&S Manager to include; · Completing core training courses to back up practical experience gained on site/in the office. · Shadowing key members of the business to gain knowledge in different sectors · Completing case studies on a range of key events/risks throughout projects to develop a broader understanding and knowledge of process, procedure and control measures for each - including; asbestos removal, temporary works, fire, logistic management etc. · Taking procedures and auditing them to ensure procedure is complied with, to gain a full understanding and ensure relevant personnel are following it across all aspects of the organisation · Initial undertaking of site inspections with H&S manager, Essential Key Skills Specification: · Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and Excel · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written · Well organised and comfortable working to deadlines · Hardworking and open to taking direction · Enthusiastic and eager to learn · Confident in interacting with others This job was originally posted as
