Buyer - St Helens - circa £25,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join an expanding company based in the outskirts of St Helens . Package Salary: circa £25,000 Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm Holiday: 20 days bank holidays The Role The Buyer will be responsible for establishing a purchasing department, including implementing procedures and systems, and reducing costs to help the company continue to grow. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own role and make your mark on the company. Responsibilities Establish a smooth running dedicated purchasing department Selecting new products and reviewing the old Finding the right suppliers Negotiating prices Ensuring the products are delivered on time Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales Pitching ideas to senior management Stock control Budgeting Reacting to any changes in customer demand Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones Getting feedback from customers The Person This role would suit a young, driven individual in the early stages of their purchasing career. You will already have sound knowledge of purchasing procedures, and have the confidence to develop the role to produce an efficient purchasing department. Previous experience working with insulation is a bonus but not a necessity.
