Trading Manager Working in a diverse, multi-channel retail environment, the Trading Manager will use business data to develop customer insight and drive through opportunities to maximise sales growth. This new position would suit a person from a commercial and analytical background who would like the opportunity to grow and develop the role in a positive and open environment. The Role The post holder will be expected to: Investigate trends and gaps in the product range and work with the relevant departments to create new opportunities and generate income in a timely manner. Research the market and analyse business and competitor data with a view to keeping us ahead of the pack. Work with product developers and sourcing to hit price point and keep the product range competitive in the market. Use market insight to own and advise on pricing strategies. Investigate problem trading areas and product ranges and work with the marketing teams to instigate creative, on and offline, solutions to boost sales. Identify sales strategies and offer plans which offer best cost per acquisition Skills and Experience Strong commercial focus and an appreciation of how your insight can shape company decisions Passionate and driven with a desire for continuous improvement and able to take ownership of rigorous and robust outcomes Experience of working in a fast moving, delivery focussed environment An ability to prioritise well Analytical with added focus on quality and accuracy A track record of delivering actionable insight and an ability to articulate the value and drive through the solution Good project management skills Problem solving through analytical approach Rapid insight production and the ability to match speed to market with rigorous checking. Enjoys manipulating data while working efficiently and to tight project time lines Able to present findings clearly and concisely to varied audiences right up to Board level. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles Person Probably educated to degree level or equivalent and be looking to move to a more developmental role Inquisitive and tenacious Strong communicator Team player Entrepreneurial spirit Visionary Ambitious, driven and results focussed Strong numeracy Confident and able to take ownership of projects and initiatives.
