UK – Peterborough – Field Service Support Engineer / Manager – Circa £35K - £45K DOE The ONE Group have a fantastic opportunity for a field service support engineer / manager to join our client in Peterborough, who are a market leader in the field of process engineering support to the FMCG industry. The primary focus of this role will be to provide Mechanical / Electrical / Control system support on FMCG process lines, alongside building a service engineering team for our expanding client. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business, develop your own service team and really make an impact. The Company Our client have developed into a market leader in the field of spares and consumables for liquid and powder processing to the Food, Beverage and utility market. A Company that understands their customer’s needs, and provide reactive and proactive support on an ongoing basis as an extension of their customer. Key Responsibilities You will be tasked with providing ongoing reactive, predictive support to FMCG based customers. This will be done primarily on mechanical parts, electrical parts and via the use of control systems. You will be charged with heading the service team in terms of organisation, scheduling, and maintaining of customer SLA’s. This role will involve being a service engineer yourself, whilst continually building the service team. This role has a long term progression route of becoming the manager of a well-structured service engineering team. Alongside service engineering and support, you will be tasked with exploring opportunities for further business, develop existing accounts, work towards providing proposals for new business tenders. Competencies Relevant engineering qualification desirable Exposure to the FMCG process industry is essential An appreciation of FMCG schedules and production times Mechanical/Electrical equal bias PLC experience, the ability to use PLC’s at basic level Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi Experience working with SCADA systems is essential Passion and drive to develop the business and the team Excellent commercial awareness Exposure to a customer facing role would be advantageous Management or supervisory experience would be beneficial as you will be charged with leading, recruiting and developing a team.
