Exciting role within a global organisation, responsible for all statutory and management reporting requirements for 39 enitities across Europe and leading a team of 7. Client Details My client are a multinational organisation who are a global leader in responsible packaging solutions, supplying a range of packaging for industries as diverse as food, homecare and pharmaceutical. To give you an idea of their scale they have over 180 sites in over 40 countries, employ over 29,000 staff and report sales topping $10bn. Description The Corporate Accounting Manager will be based at the site in Bristol and will manage a small high performing team of 2 direct reports and 7 people reporting across Europe. The primary responsibility of the role will be to oversee accurate reporting of the consolidated Europe Corporate Business Group, made up of 39 management reporting entities including the European corporate functions in the UK and Switzerland, and the European treasury entity. You will provide financial management support to the cost centre managers, requiring significant communication across these internal stakeholders and to ensure financial best practice is implemented across the Business Group. In addition to the management reporting aspect this role will also be responsible for all financial statutory compliance of the UK registered companies and Swiss Head Office., and support for other non UK registered legal entities within the Business Group. Key responsibilities: Consolidation of the Europe Corporate business group on a monthly basis Prepare monthly consolidated reports, for example capital expenditure, corporate costs and cash flow forecast Prepare half year and year end consolidated supplementary reporting packs Co-ordinate the external audit of the Europe Corporate business group for both half year and year end Preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts for the Europe Corporate business group Review of European corporate cost centre transactions on a monthly basis Provide financial support to the cost centre managers and key personnel of UK and Swiss corporate functions Review of Swiss and UK payroll entries, including related balance sheet reconciliations Management of internal recharges Review of Swiss FX exposures and hedge implementation to mitigate financial risk Preparation of UK registered financial statements and support relevant non UK based companies Ensure UK managed entities are compliant with Amcor's internal controls environment Oversight of European Pension schemes, including reporting of 2 UK legacy defined benefit plans Liaise with tax and treasury department regarding financial structure changes and dividend flows Support tax department and external consultants with annual tax returns Approval of bank payments Supervision and development of direct reports Dealing with any ad-hoc projects delegated by the UK Financial Shared Services Manager Profile Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications: Accounting qualification - 3 to 5 years post qualification experience Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP Good knowledge of HFM and CaseWare (or equivalent financial statement preparation software) Experience of working in an international group MS Office skills Human Qualities: Ability to deliver first class service to internal customers Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines Good people management and leadership skills Strong organisational skills Good attention to detail and accuracy Job Offer This role will pay a competitive basic salary of c.£55,000, plus additional benefits This job was originally posted as
