Senior Buyer - Construction £30,000 - £35,000 p.a. DOE Huddersfield Permanent, Full time role Robert Half OT are delighted to be working with an extremely successful construction company to recruit a Senior Buyer. Key Requirements/Responsibilities: Knowledge of the buying process in a construction/building organisation Continually identify opportunities that could help reduce annual costs Strong negotiation skills to realise volume rebates etc. Become a subject matter expert in local commodity and supply markets in order to deliver competitive advantage and mitigate risk Support and assist in supplier development, this will include off site visits, in both local and international locations Build strong internal relationships and work closely with the planning and logistics teams Analysing data and producing reports that can be used by the wider company. Including an end of month report. Ensuring that key suppliers hit delivery and quality performance targets Skills/Knowledge: Project Management Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems Experience of a construction/building or similar environment, ideally knowledge of working to ISO standards Ideally knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and quality assurance systems Extensive contract experience - Supply Agreements, Rebates, Non-disclosures etc. In return you will receive: A salary of c35k p.a.
