Our client is a listed medical devices and equipment business, the wholly owned subsidiary of a multinational organisation known in the health profession for its portfolio of life-transforming medical solutions. They are now looking for a UK HR Manager. The UK HR Manager will be based in Gloucester. Its global HQ is based in London where you’ll be required to travel probably once or twice per month. This organisation works to the highest ethical standards and has an outstanding reputation with its customers and the industry for quality and innovation. In the UK they have dedicated sales teams of highly trained people and a technical service team of engineers who install, service and maintain equipment. There are approximately 50 UK employees and over 4000 employees globally. The UK HR Manager will report to the Country Manager for the UK with a dotted line to the HR Director who is based in Europe. Although this is a generalist role and the activities will be broad, we are looking for someone who can implement change, integrating 2 businesses which have recently been brought together and building on the best of each company’s policies and approaches. We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and flexible HR Professional who wants to help a business develop and grow.You are likely to be a Graduate with a thorough range of HR experience. As this is an autonomous HR role you’ll need both depth and breadth of experience and the resourcefulness to work alone. You’ll be ambitious and focused and very customer orientated and responsive – building trusted relationships will be critical to both recommend the right solutions and get your ideas listened to. This role will work closely with the senior management team and so we are looking for someone with the credibility to be their trusted adviser. You’ll need to demonstrate plenty of experience of coaching and developing others – you’ll be a passionate employee advocate, someone who genuinely wants employees to succeed.
