Charity Accountant, £35,000, Cardiff My client is a leading charity in Cardiff with projects spanning the whole of Wales. Following a period of commercialisation and a restructure, we have been engaged exclusively to help the business recruit an Investment Accountant to join on a permanent basis. Duties will include; -To monitor all aspects of the day-to-day finance administration -Coordinate financial forecasts, budgets, management accounts and statuary bodies. -Day to day administration and control of all income and expenditure. -To manage the relationship with the investments advisers. -To monitor the custodianship of the stock exchange investments through BNY Mellon; -To monitor and review asset allocation and performance; -To regularly review the Ethical Investment Policy through the Investment Group -To monitor the collection and receipt of the overseas withholding tax; -To monitor the income forecasts and projections of the stock exchange and investment property portfolios; -To ensure effective procedures are in place to control the flow of daily bank balances and money market deposits. -To provide the full administrative support for the conduct of the Investment Committee, including: o Preparing and circulating agendas; o Writing and preparing reports including co-ordinating the required detailed analysis from investment advisers; o Reporting on all investment matters and to provide management information as required; o Attending meetings and preparing minutes; o Ensuring that all policy decisions of the Committee are implemented; o Ensuring hospitality arrangements for meetings are in place. To be considered for this role, candidate must have charity accounting experience (SORP) with knowledge of investments administration, working with trustees and grant applications. Candidates should bring a wealth of finance and administration experience to the table alongside a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, excellent stakeholder management skills and where possible, staff supervisory skills.
