To deputise for the Team Leader as required in respect of the main duties and responsibilities outlined below. Key Tasks - Roles & Responsibilities • Maintain health & safety, housekeeping and environmental standards • Ensure product quality is to the required standard • Continuously aim to improve EHS and Quality procedures within the team • Schedule team work and monitor performance to plan, taking corrective actions if falling behind plan • Conduct team meetings • Work with Engineering to ensure equipment is kept to the required standard • Production bookings • Train and develop the team • Encourage and implement continuous improvement in all team activities • Maintain and improve production efficiency PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and Aptitudes. Essential · Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels · Must have been involved in continuous improvement activities · Must have excellent attendance record · Good numeric and literacy ability. Desirable · Knowledge of Company accreditations TS16949, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and Investors In People · Knowledge of SPC · Knowledge of MFG PRO · Competency in MS Excel and Word Behavioural competencies Essential level of competency · Self motivation · Ability to work under pressure · Problem solver · Attention to detail · Organisation and planning · Communicator · Team worker Must accept the level of responsibility that accompanies the job role.
