A Housing Association are seeking a Procurement Assistant to join a newly developed department in Liverpool.

Your new company
Our client is about to enter a significant period of growth within their procurement activity and because of this are looking to recruit a Procurement Assistant to increase the capacity of their team. Initially this role will be on a 16 month fixed term contract but with the view of going permanent. The procurement function at this housing association has been developed to support Finance, Directors, Heads of Services and Operational Managers.

Your new role
You will be required to support the Procurement Officer with dedicated procurement projects, contract management and performance monitoring. Although this role will be reporting to the Finance Manager, day to day duties will consist of creating quick notes, tenders, evaluation models and contract records, opening new tenders, reviewing contract registers and keeping the In-tend system up to date. Once trained you will be required to assist local users with the In-tend system and provide basic training.

What you'll need to succeed
With this being a new department you will need to have basic knowledge of procurement processes & contract management, have some experience of working within a procurement department, be proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of value for money principles. This company will work with you to develop your experience, they offer flexible working hours, honour new ideas that you may bring to the team.

What you'll get in return
Starting salary between £17,501 - £20,847, flexible hours working hours between core hours of 10am-4pm (35 hours per week), pension scheme, free parking on the outskirts, cycle to work and gym allowance.
