Vehicle Handover Specialist Cardiff Dealership £18,000 pa 8:45am to 6pm, Mon to Fri Renault Cardiff seeks a Handover Specialist to join our busy Car Dealership and help drive consistent customer service as well as assisting the running of our sales team. As a strongly customer service orientated role, you will be providing every customer with a warm welcome to our department. Thereafter you will be facilitating preparation and coordination of sold cars ready for handover to the proud new owner This will be to help ensure that all customers are completely satisfied with their vehicle purchase. This role is ideal for people with previous retail experience or experience from any other customer service field involving strong communication skills and face-to-face interaction with customers. A successful candidate must have a full clean driving licence , which for the purposes of our company car insurance must have been held for at least 12 months due to the fact you will be expected to manoeuver customer vehicles and conducting test drives. An important part of this role will be regularly liaising between the sales team, PDI/UCP technicians, bodyshop and valeters to make sure that sold cars are prepped, carry the full complement of accessories, have had dealer-fitted extras applied as per the order, and that vehicles are cleaned & valeted in time prior to the customer’s collection. In addition, the Handover Specialist will also be required to maintain the dealership’s car park bays and customer handover areas, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and accessibility for customers. You will be assisting with maintaining stock of point of sale material as well as preparation, refuelling and arrangement of the demo and display vehicles. It will be important for the Handover Specialist to identify sales opportunities to up-sell relevant vehicle protection products, service plans and accessories. You must also have a strong attention to detail to identify faults, damage or defects on stock vehicles, customer cars and prospective part-exchanges. Driving of vehicles is an essential part of this role, so you must be confident and accurate with manoeuvring of cars in confined spaces/bays. We expect our Handover Specialist to be treating all customer vehicles and stock vehicles with due care and diligence in a safe and protective manner; as such, the interview will include a test drive focussing on manoeuvres and reverse parking. The ideal candidate will come from any strongly customer-service orientated background, where there was a need to interact with both customers and colleagues in a professional manner. As well as a full, clean driving licence (essential for this role ) we are looking for individuals who are self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication skills and above all a can-do attitude The shift pattern for this role will be Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 6pm with one hour lunch break. Total 42.5 hours per week. In return we provide a £18,000 per annum basic salary per annum overtime. Periodically through the year the dealership will host weekend Sales Events which you will need to attend. Notice will be provided for these occasions and additional hours worked over your usual 42.5 hours per week will be paid as overtime. Please note: As part of the interview process, selected candidates will be asked to accompany an assessor for a test drive where you will be required to carry out driving manoeuvres including reverse parking into a bay, reversing round a corner, and 3-point-turn in both a manual and automatic vehicles. Care, safety, accuracy, time-taken and effectiveness of manoeuvres and ability to adhere to instruction will be assessed in this test drive.
