About us Landmark Information Group, part of the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), is the UK's leading provider of land and property search information, including digital mapping, environmental risk reports for property professionals and sophisticated property management tools to surveyors, risk and fraud managers and the broader financial markets. We develop both products and services/solutions for our customers, ranging from environmental consultants, surveyors and some of the UK's largest banks & lending institutions (to name just a selection) who all have a common interest - land and property information. The opportunity We are looking for an experienced Service Transition Manager to manage end-to-end Service Transition activities within the LVS (Landmark Valuation Services) business unit. This will include changes, releases and handover to operations support. You will be required to balance the needs of the business to provide a stable service to its customers whilst introducing new functionality and providing fixes to the production environments. You will act as a respected facilitator between various parties to ensure continued high levels of service to the end customer. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and owning efficient processes to ensure the smooth transition of changes in the production environments, reporting on these activities to ensure broad visibility of all changes. We are looking for an ambitious individual who is willing to step into a variety of different roles as required and support (and provide cover for) the Group Service Transition Manager. Taking into account the nature of this role, you will actively monitor and support the removal of repeating underlying product/service issues causing instability or performance issues within this designated business unit. This role incorporates a blend of change management, release management, support handover and incident management. About you To be considered for this opportunity you would ideally be degree educated and possess an ITIL qualification. You will need to have previous experience in change and release activities within a medium sized business (i.e. subject to frequent change) and be committed to high levels of customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills are required in addition to sound experience of managing complex and frequent software development release cycles, and you will need to be technically proficient and able to develop technical and corporate staff to deliver enhanced results. You will need to show experience of developing and producing new processes and be able to document these changes in an easy to understand manner.
