IntaPeople have been selected as the exclusive recruitment partner for the next three years and we are currently looking for developers to work in a variety of teams and projects. NWIS is responsible for the design, deployment and management of national Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) systems within NHS Wales and provides a range of services to the Welsh Government and NHS Organisations. They supply over 70 software services to users across NHS Wales - As a public organisation they don't report to shareholders; they support Doctors, Nurses and other clinical professionals, helping them provide specialist care to patients in Hospitals, GP practices and across the community; Whether it's providing child immunisations, caring for patients with terminal illnesses or even helping those dedicated to saving the lives of Ebola victims in West Africa - their software makes a difference Above all, as a SQL developer joining this team you will need to have a high aptitude and drive with the ability to work well in a close knit team building high quality software using Microsoft technologies. This will be a really varied role which could mean writing complex T-SQL and designing database schemas for national operational reference data or demographic registers of patients in Wales; the successful candidate will also be expected to write complex SQL statements using stored procedures and views as well as optimize and tune existing queries to improve performance using specialist tools. In terms of technical skills we are looking for - Familiarity and experience with SQL Server 2008 - 2014 Experience creating and using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008. Normalization techniques and ER-diagramming to design and create scalable, high-performance databases the ability to work to the full SDLC preferably using Agile methodologies such as SCRUM It would also be a benefit (but not a pre-requisite) if the successful candidate has a good understanding of OOP, unit testing and software design patterns as well as experience of- NET C# - especially CLR stored procedures XML - particularly the use of with SQL Server Redgate SQL developer tools Requirements analysis In joining this organization you not only give yourself the opportunity to work closely with experienced teams there is also a structured development programme including formal training in ASP.NET MVC.
