The role we're recruiting for; Here at Wickes, we are currently recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to join us in our New Projects team in Watford on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. Here at Wickes we are currently launching a new cloud based software application. The JDA Space Planning Application will provide the Merchandising team with tools to design, plan and implement and communicate merch layouts in stores. As an application support analyst with Wickes you will be responsible for ensuring quality user support, ensuring that JDA application availability is maintained and that support SLAs meet KPI targets. Principal Responsibilities of an application support analyst Accountable for the monitoring of the ITSM tool (ServiceNow) for allocated Incidents and Requests and activity to resolve these within SLA’s, confirming closure with associated parties Pro-actively uses system/application monitoring tools to effectively identify potential service outages and manage them to resolution, reducing the business impact. Covers core support hours with additional 24 x 7 out of hours support on call on a rota’d basis Maintains applications and interfaces to ensure that these are available to defined SLA and KPI’s agreements. Reviews and performs trend analysis to identify recurring issues and driving permanent resolutions in line with the problem management process. Identifies and progresses service improvement actions that increase service availability or resolution times. Ensures that all changes comply with defined standards, no change is implemented without prior change approval. (All changes have a clear technical statement, back-out plan and business sign-off, etc.) Skills and Experience IT Qualification with experience in SQL and Scripting 10 years experience in service of supply chain and retail systems Familiar with Retail and POS technology Networking and data transfer experience Strong Incident Management experience Experience of IT Service Management tool sets Performance, availability and capacity monitoring and management experience Change and release management experience Experience of working in both an operational support and project based environment What we can offer you?
