As the Head of Export Control - Civil Aerospace. you will have global accountability for developing and leading the Civil Aerospace business policy and implementation on compliance with all relevant export control regulations. Your main focus will be on developing strategies and processes for compliance, and playing a key role in identifying opportunities to influence future development of legislation where relevant. Key Accountabilities Lead Export Control compliance in all aspects of Civil Aerospace global activity including Strategy, Engineering & Technology, Programmes, Operations, Customers and Services, HR, Finance, etc. Enable the Civil Aerospace business globally to make sound business decisions by providing strategic leadership on export control legislation and procedures. Assist Civil Aerospace leadership in developing business plans and strategies which are consistent with export control legislation and company policy. Lead the development of an understanding of the impact of export regulations on the business and drive an organizational understanding of and adherence to export control. Set business policies on export authorizations, the processes and quality of application preparation and submission, and ensure that processes are in place to comply with authorization provisions. Lead the development and implementation of processes and training for export control compliance in Civil Aerospace. Provide functional supervision of Export Control Managers in Civil Aerospace businesses and coordinate the Civil Aerospace-related activities of regional Export Control teams. Monitor and keep up-to-date with the export regulations of all countries with which the organisation conducts business. Liaise with the other Heads of Export Control to ensure a global approach to Export Control policy, strategy, processes, tools and compliance. Identify opportunities to influence export legislation and implementation and work with other Heads of Export Control and the Director, Strategic Export Control to provide expertise to the legislative process. Contribute to development and implementation of corporate export compliance policies and corporate solutions. Qualifications Knowledge and experience of export control regulations and implementation will be an advantage, but you must have an interest in and commitment to developing a deep and wide operational understanding of the subject with the support of the global Export Control function. Ability to lead the analysis of complex business situations in a fast paced environment and the provision of advice on the impact of regulatory controls and compliance. Ability to lead the development and implementation of strategic and tactical processes for regulatory controls and compliance. Specialist knowledge of relevant export regulations including UK, EU, EAR and ITAR including US Export Control Reform. Ideally, you will have had experience of working in a high tech engineering, regulatory organisation or a similar industry. At Rolls-Royce, we focus on the future in every sense.
