Position: Support Workers Location: Opportunities available in Hertfordshire Hours: Flexible hours available (minimum of 16 hours per week) Salary: £8.00 - £10.35 per hour About the role: As a Support Worker you will provide respite to people that are in an unpaid caring role and are likely to be with our client for between 6 weeks to 3 years. The service is proactive and preventative, making a difference to the carer’s emotional wellbeing and helping them build resilience in their role as carer. As a support worker, you will take over the caring role for between 1 to 3 hours per week. You will provide a service that gives the carer time out to do the things they would otherwise not be able to do, whilst the cared-for is looked after by you and you will enable them to engage in activities that help them remain independent and part of the community. As a Support Worker in this team you can enjoy providing a care package with regular clients over a time period that enables you to build the relationship and fully understand their needs. About you: For this role you must either have experience in delivering care professionally or a willingness to undergo comprehensive training. You should have the ability to build relationships with clients, displaying empathy and compassion and have a passion for delivering person centred care. You will be required to make visits to clients’ homes and therefore the ability to drive and have the use of a car is essential.
