Quality Assurance Manager We have an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer in the electronics industry, Our Client has been supplying the global electronics industry for over 50 years Role: Quality Assurance Manager Location: Boroughbridge Pay: £40-50k Duration: Permanent OVERVIEW This position is a key management position critical to the success of the company and requires interaction between customers, suppliers and every internal department. Through quality assurance and quality control the position is the management representative with regards to all our quality systems and standards. The position should ensure we maintain a business quality management system running across functional boundaries, (from order received to despatch of product). This will be in line with TS16949. Proactively dealing with customer requirements in line with the Quality Management Systems. Maintaining quality approvals and continuous improvement of working standards. The details of this position must be controlled and bound by the requirements laid down within ISO9001:2008 & TS16949 & IECQ approval and the release of product to CECC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Control company TS16949 quality systems Oversee and implement changes to improve our QA and QC policies Audit and implement improvements to our systems, processes and procedures Set up and run Vendor quality performance database Develop right first time culture Establish closed loop systems which support internal and external continuous improvements Own all standards and approvals Coordinate quality systems reviews as required Own goods inward inspection policy Own company calibration system Support a policy of complete batch throughput & traceability Responsible for the control, storage and disposal of discrepant product All other duties as assigned PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for a small team of people who have many of the appropriate skills to positively influence the above responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS ? Minimum of Degree or equivalent. ? Introduced and running TS16949 with an automotive 1st or 2nd tier supplier ? Minimum 5 years' experience within Quality ? Must understand Lean Manufacturing and be able to demonstrate this. ? Must be IT literate with Microsoft Office tools PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Be able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels within the business. Must be fully at ease within a team working environment and possess a character strong enough to bring about significant culture change through coaching and education. Must be proactively responsive to the needs of the business and its customers.
