Project Engineer - UK Our international electronics manufacturing client are specialists in energy efficient lighting solutions. Their extensive range of products, including intelligent lighting controls, LED drivers, modules and ballasts, can be used as single components or combined into lighting systems to achieve smart solutions. Key areas of responsibility Effective management of Lighting control Projects to ensure delivery and handover to a professional, timely and cost effective manner. Working closely with the project delivery team including: Sales , Estimating, Field commissioning and Support the team. Maintain the integrity of the company brand. · Support UK projects · Good communication skills both verbal and written · Regular contact and site meeting with electrical contractors · Ensure commissioning of lighting control systems is as required for project needs · Regular update of project status · Daily supervision of commissioning engineers and sub-contractors · Plan meetings and resource in conjunction with UK Co-ordinator · Program systems with commissioning engineer at initial phase · Plan area sign off and handover to client Key Actions Following order placement, liaise with their clients and their clients representatives to ensure the smooth operation of the project from point of sale through to project handover Project Management, including: · Preparation and management of project variations · Preparation and management of Add & Omit Schedules with estimator · Preparation and management of project RFI’s · Preparation and management of clients Functional Test Sheets · Preparation and compliance of site specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements · Ensure compliance and reporting of site Health & Safety procedures · Production of lighting control schematics and production drawings with estimating · Programming and scheduling of on-site engineering works · Tridium and GUI programming and implementation · Provide both in house and on-site training courses · Attendance of site specific meetings when required · Provide telephone and on-site technical support · On site commissioning and service visits if required · Production of project reports to senior management · Ensure project specific key dates are met · Compliance with Departmental KPI’s Negotiation of new service agreements throughout the project cycle Managing and negotiating upgrades and upgrade quotations Reporting Relationships Reporting to the UK Technical Operations Manager The Project Engineer would need to be maximum 1.5 hour from the Dartford office as need to have good contact with Estimating / Internal sales etc This job was originally posted as
