Senior Environmental Scientist
Role: This client is in a very exciting period of expansion, their workload has increased rapidly and as such they require additional senior scientists to support the volume in two of their regional offices in Yorkshire and Worcestershire. The Client: This client is a specialist contaminated land and remediation consultancy and contractor operating across the UK and Ireland. They are are a world leader in the remediation of fuel oil spills and environmental claims management sector working with petrochemical and insurance companies and loss adjusters alike. Environmental Consultants Responsibilities The job holder shall be: Degree educated with strong experience in managing environmental incidents, carrying out contaminated land surveys & site investigations and preferably a knowledge of remediation technologies for contaminated soil and groundwater. Required Competencies: Excellent communication and report writing skills are required together with sound knowledge of environmental legislation. Candidates must be physically fit, as the role will involve carrying out site investigations and being able to provide clear instruction to contractors. Candidates will need to exhibit strong time management skills and be self-motivated, as they will normally be working alone. A Senior Scientist would also be expected to be able to deliver a wider range of environmental consultancy services offered to our clients such as environmental site audits and spillage response training for which training could be provided.
