Do you like working with your hands? We're looking for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a booking through to the end of March 2017. The job is based in the Bar Hill area, just north of Cambridge. The hours of employment are 0730 - 1520 Mon-Friday. You'll help with the manufacture of various types of electronic and mechanical assemblies. You'll need to follow the required standards and timescales using prepared worksheets. You'll use bonding and fixing techniques i.e. epoxy resins, screws, nuts, drilling etc, to build the prototypes. Soldering skills are also essential. You'll also be involved with the initial testing of piece parts used in production assemblies, whilst following all ISO9000 and material control procedures. You should be computer literate, flexible and confident. You'll be OK to work a bit of overtime here and there and not need too much supervision. It'd be really helpful if you've done a similar kind of work before and soldering skills would be a real bonus. You'll be paid £8.17 per hour which then increases to £9.15 after 12 weeks.
