Project Manager - Insurance - Hampshire - Permanent - £65-£70K Per Annum plus excellent benefits The Company An experience Project Manager with Insurance experience, is required by an Insurance company, based in Hampshire. The Role The overall purpose of this role is to manage all project aspects and resources in order to ensure timely, efficient, successful implementations on time, to budget and to expectations. You will also provide mentoring of internal team members Key Responsibilities You will oversee a small project or phase(s) of a larger project. You will have the responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire project life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). You must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. You will be responsible for assembling and motivating the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. You will follow Implementation Methodology and best practices. Prepare project plans/ schedules, reports and budgets. Track and monitor all deliverables, calendars and meetings as necessary. Set performance goals for project teams or work units. You will effectively manage project scope executing and administering change control as necessary. You will manage business and project risks, including the development of contingency plans You will monitor projects and check actual performance against planned performance to ensure technical, schedule and budget goals are met or exceeded. You will provide technical and leadership guidance and direction to personnel to ensure proper, timely completion of work. In addition, provide personnel with timely, constructive, and actionable feedback that increases individual and team effectiveness. You will interact frequently with team, management and customers to define project requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations. Develop strong customer relationships as 'trusted advisor' at project management and senior management levels. You will provide leadership, and functional guidance and direction to the assigned individuals. Your focus will be on mentoring and developing them to achieve their maximum potential Experience Required A proven track record of successfully managing a number of sizeable projects through all project phases from inception to sign-off. Demonstrable experience with operating formal project management methodologies Previous project budget management Previous client-training and formal presentation experience Demonstrable knowledge of the Insurance industry and its processes and procedures gained through academic study or direct experience.
