Permanent role for a small business Technology Company in the Engineering industry, based in Manchester, Greater Manchester, starting between 30 September 2016 and 30 December 2016 . As part of a small Supply Chain team you will be responsible for the procurement of all parts, equipment and services needed within the business. To source all materials and services required to support the production of products, for unique contract work or standard / recurring products To negotiate with suppliers to achieve best cost, discounts, price breaks, etc. To generate Purchase Orders for all materials, sub-contract operations, finished parts, non-stocked items, etc. to agreed manufacturing requirements, specifications and customer schedules. To utilise the company MRP system (Material Requirements Planning) to optimise stocks of component parts and finished goods, ensuring these are maintained within agreed levels To liaise with Sales, Production and Suppliers on all matters that may be relevant to ensuring materials and/or services are provided as required and at specified quality levels. To co-ordinate the activities of those departments providing specifications, manufacturing information, tools, etc. in order to anticipate and prevent delays to Production To initiate kit marshalling and associated shortage control procedures with the objective of ensuring that all parts are available prior to commencement of assembly. To attend progress meetings as required to represent Supply Chain control and be prepared to report on the material/work in progress status of each job or contract. To maintain supplier lead times for all products and update as required. Annual Salary from £23,000 to £28,000 Required Skills Experience in procurement and stock level control roles. (Excellent , at least 5 years of experience) Good communication skills. (Excellent , at least 5 years of experience) Able to work quickly with accuracy. (Excellent , at least 5 years of experience) Attention to detail. (Excellent , at least 5 years of experience) MRP systems experience, and Excel and Word. (Good , at least 5 years of experience) Experience working in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment.
