My client is a facilities management company based in the Denton area on Greater Manchester. They are currently looking for a Facilities Estimator to start ASAP on a long term assignment which could lead to a permanent opportunity. The purpose of the role is to support the self-delivery team in providing Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric business cases to our clients for works above client mandate and to provide estimating services for additional work streams for existing clients. From time to time the role will involve the provision of estimating resource and support for new bids from external clients.The rate of pay for this role will be £17 per hour (ltd) Working full time Monday - Friday 40 hours a week. Main responsibilities; -To collate information from our field engineers and suppliers and provide consistent business cases on a national basis to our clientsIdentify and call upon any required technical support in order to produce the estimateResearching materials, equipment and labour costsCollecting quotes from materials suppliers and sub-contractors Estimating and planning job timescalesAssessing the levels and pricing of risk on a job/projectAnalysing company data, productivity rates and prices Contribute to the securing of new business by working closely with the bid team, suppliers and technical departments within my clients divisions Interrogate tender specification and pricing in comparison to benchmark dataAssist in the preparation of tender submission documentsOffice-based, with some travel to client sites and head offices around the regions KEY COMPETENCIES; -HNC/HND or degree in either Quantity surveying, Estimating, Mechanical and electrical engineering, Minimum of 5yrs experience in a similar roleGood problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsA good Business awarenessAn awareness of regulations, price trends and exchange rates.To assist and produce priced tenders that are accurate, clearly detailed, competitive and returned within deadlines. Able to produce a database for repetitive quotesAssess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and subcontract quotes.Checks figures for other estimator's tenders as required.Provide support to other estimators in pricing tenders and providing budget costing.Assist others in selection of materials and sub-contractors when required to do so and propose alternative materials or methods.Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations, estimating (including taking-off) and H&S.Management skills - programming, planning, compiling reports.High competence in Word and Excel.Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities.If you have the key skills and attributes for the position and are available for immediate start please send your CV to Tyrrell Dore at Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
