The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 5 month temporary contract based in London. Job Description: Management and delivery of plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals Work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project assigned to Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products Operate as a full member of the team; supporting the Programme Director and other team members as directed Project Manage all aspects of specific work packages Working with stakeholders to ensure Design; Delivery; Technical Build; testing; MI requirements etc are managed and delivered to date and time Completion of detailed plan for the medium term including MSP; Resources; costs Completion of the detailed design phase to time and quality; working with the Design team to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages. Development of stakeholder relationship with suppliers; including preparation of joint plans; proposals and any design and build documentation. Completion of the high level plan through to Go Live and BAU handover. Experience in the delivery of projects; with particular emphasis on the management of suppliers and stakeholders Experience of governance and risk control frameworks Good planning and organisational skills Strong leadership; people and communications skills Possess strong analytical skills with a proven ability to persuade and influence senior decision-making Key Tasks & Deliverables: The IT Delivery Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. The role is to ensure the project delivers the required IT products to agreed time, cost and quality criteria and tolerances, whilst staying within agreed scope and managing associated risks and issues. The role is also to ensure the capabilities delivered by the project will enable the benefits defined in the Business Case to be achieved. • Planning the project and monitoring its overall progress and initiating corrective action as appropriate; • Meeting agreed reporting requirements; • Actively and effectively managing project plans, risks, issues, dependencies and constraints; • Effective work management and deployment of project resources including finance and staff; • Effective management of IT supplier(s) within the project(s), including supplier compete processes and commercial challenge of costs; • Ensuring products or services delivered meet the specified quality criteria, and are delivered on time and within budget • Quality assurance and ensuring the overall integrity of the project – aligning with corporate, technical and specialist standards; • Preparation for, and co-ordination of, internal and external project reviews, such as OGC Gateway reviews and health-checks. • Engaging effectively with programme and project stakeholders including suppliers and other third parties; • Initiating and leading IT project workshops and events; • Supporting coaching and mentoring project team members and communicating with them effectively; • Supporting the Programme Manager in their project deliver responsibilities and deputising for them when required; • Ensuring the project remains aligned with programme and departmental priorities and does not duplicate work being done elsewhere in the programme or business environment. -Proven practical experience of managing medium to large sized projects. Experience Required: Recognised Professional PPM or Change Management qualification i.e. · PRINCE2 Practitioner · Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner · APM Practitioner Qualification (APMPQ) Professional PPM Accreditation · Full Member of APM (MAPM) · APM Registered Project Professional (RPP) or a willingness and commitment to participate in the PPM Profession Accreditation Process. An understanding of the HMRC Change Framework and associated project life-cycles is would be desirable.
