Sellick Partnership have been tasked to recruit a Strategic Lead for a large public sector organisation. This position will oversee a number of important services through the AHP facility. The main duties of the role include: To be the professional lead for agreed portfolios Leading the development and integration of a wide range of work and health/social care programmes To be responsible for achieving the measurable improvements and tangible objectives. Delivery of local and national strategic and operational service objectives in line with Statutory requirements, the Divisional objectives and strategic direction. To formulate medium and long term plans, adapting as necessary to accommodate changing legislation etc. To be proactive in identifying and managing operational risks, with the support of the senior leadership team To identify new opportunities for development with and across the services, which may arise from changes to the internal or external environment. To be accountable for multi-agency recruitment, development, objective setting, appraisals and all formal procedures for staff To actively monitor staff performance, addressing issues in a timely and appropriate manner by supporting and encouraging personal and professional growth. To monitor budgets and ensure these are adhered to. The ideal candidate: The client is seeking a professional and AHP qualified candidate who has significant experience (5 years ) within management at a strategic level within the public sector. Within this the candidate is also required to have experience of leading project successfully to their conclusion within a complex political environment.
