Our client, are a growing food business with an excellent reputation in the industry. Due to continued growth a position has opened up for an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the fast-paced site in South West London. This is a senior level role that reports directly to the Board of Directors. You will have Input and involvement with the company plans and business strategy. The Role: · Management of the Warehouse & Logistics and Production area – this is split over 2 locations and takes in production, cold-store, warehouse, pick-pack, despatch · Managing the relationship with 3PL partners · Have sight of all production plans and ensure that they are on track to ensure OTIF delivery · Managing of administration – purchase orders, agency staff time-sheets, invoicing · Personnel and HR duties – recruitment, staff reviews, training and regular staff “one to ones” · Regular contact with suppliers and customers – demonstrate an expert understanding of the required supply chain process · Work closely with the development chefs in order to gain a thorough understanding of the product range and be capable of passionately discussing the products and promoting where relevant · Daily updating of the in-house stock/ERP systems – ensure a consistent flow of raw materials and product at all times The Candidate: · A genuinely passionate and motivated candidate with a strong interest in the food industry · A background that covers Production, Warehousing, Logistics and importantly management of a manufacturing site · The ability to manage teams with a “hands-on” approach and to demonstrate a good understanding off all departments · Act as the linchpin between all relevant departments and conduct the movement of products around site from intake to despatch · An experienced and capable recruiter – capable of identifying “company-fit” and good culture matches · A strong IT systems user – Excel skills are essential · Communication skills are extremely important – you must be capable of adapting to all levels of the organisation and be as comfortable presenting to the board as you are on the “shop-floor” What’s on Offer? · The opportunity to join a growing business that can offer genuine career progression opportunities · A competitive salary and benefits package · A forward-thinking work place that will give you the autonomy to develop and mould your teams This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66833345
