This role would be perfect for an enthusiastic, driven chef professional ready to move into a Sous Chef level or already very capable and confident at this stage in a brigade. My client's venue is a very contemporary stylish establishment, situated in the beautiful marshland coastline of North Norfolk. The business has been developed and ran by my client for several years now, and the reputation has continuously grown and blossomed. Achieving the award of 2 AA rosettes has reflected the consistency of the cuisine and excellent service over the last 7 years. The menu at the venue revolves around the freshest seasonal local ingredients, making the most of the amazing seafood available. Salary and Benefits: - Starting package up to and around £25,000 P/A Tips - The opportunity to join an award winning Hospitality Group which is continuously expanding - Plenty of potential to grow and progress your career even further - Opportunity to network and increase your professional profile Key Role Responsibilities: - Work as a leading Sous Chef within the company, taking lead when needed - Assisting in the management and control of the kitchen brigade with a 'hands on' approach - Running a busy, gastro pub venue to a very high standard - Be a professional and strong role model within the team, and representing the company in the best possible way - Training of kitchen staff and monitoring all members of brigade closely - Be organised and efficient, ensuring all aspects of the kitchen are looked after and maintained - Making sure dishes are produced consistently and presentation of food is kept at a high standard - Cooperate with the Head Chef and company managers closely at all times and meet/ achieve all branding requirements Desired Skills and Qualities: - The Sous Chef will ideally have a background in high end restaurants, or a successful, busy fresh food establishment - Have management skills - Fine Dining experience with rosette knowledge - Must be a real people person, with great communication - Passionate about cookery - Be able to take lead in a kitchen brigade when required - Ability to succeed and deliver under pressure - Have up to date Food Hygiene certificates and qualifications - Good local Norfolk knowledge - Proven track record in achieving and meeting successful targets and figures - Ability to lead and train colleagues - A positive personality, who can connect with all types of people easily - Easy going and a great team player, able to get a long with everyone in the team as well as manage them - Own transport and driving license Desirable Characteristics: - Passionate, people person - Hard working and driven - Motivated and enthusiastic within the kitchen - Big team player - Professional and presentable If you are interested in this brilliant opportunity available, please do not hesitate to contact Hannah Barker on 01603 625562 or apply now with your CV attached.
