I am recruiting for a forward thinking, committed support worker to join an independent, completely child focussed residential service for young people with EBD and challenging behaviours on the borders of North Warwickshire and Birmingham. I am looking for a support worker who is truly committed to making a difference to the lives of the young people they support, who leads by example and acts as a role model when it comes to the social and emotional wellbeing. You will work within a beautiful, high quality residential service and be guided by both a manager and team of directors who are truly committed to the wellbeing of the young people they support. It`s not just the support staff here who offer direct care and support, the managers and directors like to get involved too. You will become part of a loyal, transparent team of staff who won`t compromise values and are always motivated to deliver the best care possible. You will be involved in all elements of care to include care and support planning, managing personal finances and the promotion of choice and education. Your role is to foster a homely, family orientated environment and provide support to children who are vulnerable and display social, emotional and behavioural needs. If you are already an established support worker in children`s residential care, then this is great news. People who have started here as support workers, are now very successful, recognised registered managers. To be considered for this role, a full UK, manual driving licence is essential, as is access to your own vehicle. Due to the nature of the role, you will be able to commit to a varied shift pattern which will include sleep ins and weekend working on a rota basis. Whilst beneficial, a QCF level 3 in children and young people and experience is not essential. Perhaps you have experience in education or sports coaching and would like to tailor your skills to children`s residential care. If so, this could be the job for you. Due to the nature of the role, all candidates must be at least 22 years of age. This is exciting role is offering a highly competitive salary in the region of £15000 to £17500 per annum as well as a generous sleep in allowance. In addition, you will benefit from continued training and development, both externally and internally and will be supported, if necessary to secure your QCF/Diploma level 3 in children and young people.
