I am currently seeking an ICT Project Manager to work on behalf of a local authority in the North West of England on a contract basis. The local authority’s Information and Data Management (IADM) Programme requires a Project Manager to coordinate and deliver projects pertinent to Geographical Information Systems, Gazetteer Management, Business Intelligence and a number of other business focussed ICT projects. The IADM programme is focussed on utilising technology to enable effective business change across multiple services, to support and embed Information Assurance. The successful applicant will need to display a good mix of technological understanding and the impacts this has on culture and business change. Examples of project subject matters will include GIS, Address Management, Master Data Management, BI and Information Assurance – the post holder will be supported by a wider network of PMs under the programme, as well as an active Programme Manager and SRO. The successful applicant will manage, develop, implement and maintain a range of information and communications technology (ICT) policies, processes, projects, products and services for the Council in accordance with the Corporate Plan and ICT investment strategy and delivery programme. They will be responsible for ensuring delivery meets the requirements of the business and complies with appropriate professional, technical and national standards. Applicants for this position must have a minimum of 5 years experience of ICT, including 3 years at a management level. Previous local authority experience essential. Please do not hesitate to apply.
