Level 1 Application & Systems Support Engineer Are you a IT Systems / Application Support Analyst / Engineer looking to take on some extra responsibilities by supporting existing systems, but also assisting in the testing and implementation of new ones? We are looking for an Applications Support professional who believes in high quality client support. Our client delivers cutting edge software solutions (SaaS) to mainly Financial, Energy, Telco and Utilities companies across the globe. You’ll be supporting these systems as part of a dedicated global support team. You will be a primary point of contact for clients and you will also be working closely with the development and network teams to improve, test and remedy technical issues. You’ll also work to test new features and functionality. Ultimately you will be a really key ‘go to’ person within the wider technical team and for core clients. Here’s the background; Our client is a leading international provider of software solutions for payment, customer engagement and collection functions that major organisations utilize. The focus is always on providing a quality end-to-end customer experience and you will be a key part of this service. The team is international and the London office is the European hub. You’ll be working with colleagues in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and America. Person Required? Well you need to be a support professional with excellent skills across different technical elements. Within a qualified candidate we are looking for the following skills / experience; · MS SQL – with experience of writing complex scripts. · Visual Basic scripting (a benefit). · MS Server support (2000-2012). · IP and networking. · VPN, LAN & WAN support. · Excellent communication and client facing support experience. · Quality focused. · Remote PC support (PCAnywhere / RDP). · Hardware and Software installation. · Fault fixing, troubleshooting and new implementations. · Ability to react quickly to changing circumstances and work with demanding customers.
