In this role you will act as the bridge between design and the sub-contractors to ensure standards are met. You will ideally have a degree in Manufacturing / Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 5 years industry experience. The Role: Participate in concurrent engineering efforts with product design and development personnel to ensure that PCBA and cable designs are compatible to current manufacturing practices & processes Assures that PCBA and cable assemblies are manufactured & packaged to specification Provide manufacturing technical expertise and direction to the design department relating to design for excellence Produce relevant documentation to support the manufacturing process internally and within the supply chain. This includes Assembly Procedure’s, Inspection Plans as well a validation reports for new technologies and manufacturing methods. Assist in resolving technical issues on product during both the design & development stage as well as serial production Assists with projects and/or assignments as determined by the manager The Person: Degree qualified in relevant discipline, with proven experience within a production engineering team in manufacturing Self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and understanding of working with procedures, controls and quality standards. Knowledge of structured development and improvement techniques such as DFM, PFMEA, Lean, Six-Sigma, SPC & 8D Operational Knowledge of PCBA and cable manufacturing as well as their respective packaging processes Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong technical and analytical skills This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66851850
