Software Compliance Administrator Our client provides intelligent solutions for managing software compliance, measuring vendor performance and reducing software spend across Hybrid IT. Position: Data Librarian Location: Reading, Berkshire Job type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £20k - £24k per annum dependent on experience About the role: Join a busy team of experienced data administrators who manage software compliance for their worldwide customer base. Their unique cloud-based product set provides their customers with software licensing and compliance positions. At the heart of this product is the Dynamic Software Library (DSL), which contains recognition data on a vast range of software applications. Keeping the DSL up to date and accurate is a pivotal element of their product, involving research to establish the status of software products from across the globe, then managing the resulting information within the extensive library database. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate information within the DSL - Research information on software from a range of sources - Generate reports on the status of the DSL - Respond to ad-hoc data requests and assist with data manipulation & loading as required - Constantly review all processes and update relevant documentation Essential skills: - Some understanding of SQL scripting and report generation (or similar database knowledge) - Experienced user of Excel (2010 / 2013) - Competent in on-line research - Accuracy in data presentation / integration - Attention to detail - Ability to produce consistently accurate and reliable work - Can work without need of constant supervision Desirable skills: - IBM datacentre product experience - Understanding of software compliance - Software recognition experience You may have experience of the following: Data Librarian, Software Asset Management, SQL, Dynamic Software Library, Software Applications, Software Licencing, Software Compliance, Software Recognition, IBM Datacentre, Scripting, Report Generation, Data Administration, etc. This vacancy is being advertised by EasyWeb Recruitment, the UK’s leading Online Recruitment Agency.
