We currently require a number of Data Analysts to work on a global data project spending time on-site with a large international banking organisation headquartered in London. Working as part of a group of specialist Data Business Analysts working on a global regulatory data project in The City. This role will suit a data savvy individual with previous experience in data and financial services who wants to move into a specialised but expanding space in the financial services industry. The Role: Working as part of a team of a Data Services team your role will be at the forefront of data discovery, data cleansing, data governance, data-warehousing and reporting for a global banking data transformation project. Specific tasks will include: Ensures the proper implementation of data quality standards, guidelines, metrics and quality-expectations. Ensures accuracy, completeness, integrity, consistency, uniqueness, and timeliness of data. Executes enterprise data and analytics, data quality tests/assessments and data cleansing activities. Monitors compliance of data flows against Enterprise Data and Analytics data quality standards. Serves as liaison between business and internal and external clients. Our Minimum Requirements: We are not looking for recent graduates with no commercial experience. We are not looking for people with assumed transferable skills, you need to be working with data and in an analytical role to be considered for this role as a bare minimum. 2 - 5 years of "relevant" commercial work experience as a data analysis or in a similar data focused role. Confident in your ability to manipulate, cleanse, map and validate data in a commercial setting. Strong experience using Excel (intermediate to advanced level). Some knowledge of SQL as it relates to querying large data-sets and data retrieval. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to articulate ideas Experienced in working to tight timeframes and sometimes under pressure to deliver results that exceed expectation. Strong self-awareness - the foundations for working in a client facing role on our client's site. Able to present ideas, concepts and projects milestones with impact - can pull presentations together, deliver and communicate findings You must have an analytical mindset to be successful in this role - an innate "desire to know how things work" and a natural problem solver. You will be a graduate in a computing or an analytical based degree subject, 2:1 preferred. What We Offer: First 3 months will be getting to understand what we do, so testing fixes, customer support issues and QA testing.
