The Engineering Laboratory Technician will be working alongside some of the brightest Engineers & Scientists in the UK, contributing to the development of a variety of exciting medical technologies, by testing and verifying newly developed devices and systems using mechanical test & characterisation methods. As the Engineering Laboratory Technician you will work with the Scientists and Engineers on major Medical Device projects. Under the guidance of the project manager you will run experiments to evaluate and verify the testing of various healthcare prototype devices and/or systems that are under development. You will follow SOP and work instructions and provide test data and reports that meet the laboratory's quality system. To be considered for the job of Engineering Laboratory Technician you need to meet the following requirements Education: A degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (such as Physics/Materials Science) OR relevant experience in a similar role. Skills Experience of working in a laboratory or a test house with the ability to demonstrate experience of hands on mechanical testing of devices or instruments. Ability to set-up and run experiments. Computer literate with the ability to use MS Office as required. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
