This position represents the perfect opportunity for someone who has been working in a hand-on technical position and is looking to get off the tools, to take on an office-based role for a leading UK construction and facilities management organisation. This is a newly created position due to the volume of work and bid opportunities. It will involve spending 3-4 days at the organisation's Barking site with 1-2 days per week spent doing quotations and site visits. A car allowance will be provided. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assisting with tender pricing and quotations for project works; Reviewing services for remedial actions and providing quotations to the clients; Ensuring that quality, statutory and mandatory compliance is adhered to; Setting up systems and populating information. The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria: Relevant background in maintenance and compliance - ideally within a facilities management environment; A demonstrated understanding of what assets and parts are required for jobs and what is required to maintain them; Demonstrated ability to translate a service sheet into a quotation Strong computer skills including the ability to use MS Excel to an intermediate level.
