We are currently recruiting for a Packaging Technologist to join the new and developing technical team. Responsibilities: · Work alongside NPD Sourcing, Sales and Engineering to develop packaging concepts · Manage multiple packaging projects on time and to budget · Produce Sample packs for internal and external review · Ensure fit for purpose – Value Engineering, Operational Efficiency, Machine Compatible · Ensure fit for purpose – Product Quality, Light, Moisture & Temp, Transit trials and drop tests · Artwork management – Amend/Approve and version control · Manage Change control, stock write off and run out run in on changes to packaging · Work with the planning and sales teams to manage the roll out of new packaging to ensure minimal stock write off · Develop internal and external specifications · Put forward innovative ideas for new Packaging options · Work with suppliers experiencing issues in production to improve packaging performance · Manage data for packaging waste legislation · Ensure component compliance to branding and marketing formats · Create palletisation specifications for finished goods The Candidate: · Foundation degree, a BTEC HND or a degree in packaging or packaging design would be highly advantageous · Packaging experience is essential · Experience in a Manufacturing environment · Strong communication skills · Excellent IT skills · Working knowledge of the nutraceutical / pharmaceutical environment is a distinct advantage · Flexible with good team working skills · High attention to detail · Ability to meet deadlines · Self-motivated Salary: Competitive – please state salary requirements in application NO AGENCIES PLEASE This job was originally posted as
