Software Development Engineer Are you an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for excellence? If so then we have the perfect job for you Randstad Engineering are currently recruiting on belhalf of our client based in Wimborne, Dorset. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to lead engineering activities associated with the development and delivery of aircraft systems with an avionics bias. You will also be responsible for leading a small technical team, providing functional and technical leadership & support all stages of lifecycle management relating to development and qualification in the discipline area. This role is based in Wimborne, Dorset. As Software Development Team Lead your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Engineering or Science Degree (or equivalent) Significant software development experience. Demonstrate leadership and organisational skills. Development of safety critical embedded software with experience of delivery into service. Experience of software development in the aerospace environment In depth knowledge of safety critical software design to RTCA DO178B Knowledge of management techniques for individuals and teams Significant planning and estimating experience Have commercial awareness with good understanding of planning and estimating techniques. Desirable skills and experience would ideally include: UML Misra C AllChange CM system DO178B or C, preferably to level A or B VX Works/GNU tool chain As Software Development Team Lead your main responsibilities will involve: To perform tasks associated with the development of software as allocated by the Software Development Engineering Manager To generate accurate estimates and define task for software product delivery To execute software development in accordance with processes defined by the Company Control Procedures with guidance from the Software Development Engineering Manager To share technical expertise and help raise skill levels within the SW Development team To maintain good communication and working relationships with adjacent engineering teams. To aid the development of Junior SW Development engineers Co-operate with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
