A successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and working directly with the project team on projects within a rail environment. The role will be varied and the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Managing the change control processes of projects including issuing of contractual notifications and the collation and submission of quotations • Negotiating with our client commercial teams and the provisioning of commercial reports. • Undertaking all commercial aspects of a project from inception through to final account • Working within the existing commercial team and capable of working without direction. Skills: • A relevant degree qualification • Have at least 5 years’ experience within the rail industry with a good understanding and knowledge of various forms of contract. • Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts is desirable but not essential. • Sound commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of change control processes. • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills are required. • Computer literate and experienced in the use of Excel spreadsheets. • Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts is desirable but not essential.
