An inspirational not-for-profit organisation is looking for an experienced Communications Manager who is a bioscience graduate. You'll have 2-3 years' commercial communications experience and a passion for communicating science. The successful Communications Manager will work with scientists from the medical community delivering PR and marketing campaigns. You will help to raise the profile of the organisation and the fantastic work it does. The company. This global not-for-profit organisation works within the science sector and has a genuine impact on society. As Communications Manager, you'll be an integral part of an award winning marketing and comms team. The role. The successful Communications Manager will lead a small team, working on communications strategy and implementation focused on public engagement. You will advise on corporate communications, you'll handle media relations, pitching and writing press releases, as well as managing content across a range of channels including websites, social media and blogs, etc. You'll also represent the organisation at conferences and public events. The experience we need. A science degree - preferably a human biology, medical or biochemistry degree. 2-3 years' experience working in a communications role, preferably but not essentially, within a science focused organisation. Outstanding written English with proven editing experience. Line management experience is beneficial because you'll have one direct report, however, it's not essential. What you’ll get in return. If your experience fits the bill you’ll be rewarded with a £28-32k salary dependant on experience, as well as a fantastic package. How to apply.
