Business Overview Gtech (Grey Technology LTD) is a rapidly expanding Consumer Goods business based in the Worcestershire region. We are market leaders in cordless floor care, garden and eBike products with ambitious plans to expand into numerous additional product categories. Role Summary This is a new role within the business, requiring flexibility from the position holder. As business systems develop, tasks will change in-line with business needs. Data will initially need to be managed manually with a view to move to automated data generation in the future – the position holder will be expected to use their expertise in supporting this development. The Data Analyst will primarily be tasked with the manipulation and presentation of data produced through Customer Services, Quality & Production. The position holder will be responsible for supporting departmental managers to establish the best reporting methods for KPI’s and assist in building IS programs to ensure they are capable of producing suitable and robust raw data, which can later be manipulated and presented in a suitable manner. The Data Analyst would be expected to analyse the data produced and report on trends and anomalies to management. The ability to forecast future performance based on previous trends will also be required to support business planning activities. Operational Responsibilities · Manipulation and presentation of data: o Manipulation of raw data o Presentation of data in numerous formats for various applications o Data analysis & forecasting: o Recommendations to management for future efficiency improvements o Develop robust systems for forecasting future performance and cost based on the business plan · IS Program Development: o Support program development to ensure the correct data is recorded o Provide recommendations to ensure data quality and accuracy continually improves · Data quality: o Auditing of data sources and reports to ensure accuracy of data · Other: o Various tasks Key Deliverables ·Develop data reporting format ·Weekly performance reporting to Head of Quality – Product Quality, Supplier Quality & Production Operations Efficiency Reporting Structure ·Reporting to: Head of Quality ·Direct Reports: None ·Indirect reports: None ·Key Stakeholders: Management team Key Competencies ·Ability to manually manage large quantities of data – Essential ·Ability to understand system requirements for building automated data systems - Essential ·Ability to analyse and concisely present data – Essential ·Trend forecasting – Essential Formal Education ·Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrable ability to meet all core competencies – Essential ·Statistical/Mathematical qualification – Beneficial Experience ·Manual and automated data management, interrogation and manipulation ·Understanding of information systems ·Forecasting resource requirements, costs and business growth based on historical trends and future business plans Travel Requirements ·Currently based at Head Office located in Warndon, Worcester. ·Occasional travel to offsite locations may be required to support systems development and/or data collection accuracy.
