Role: Logistics Coordinators Shift : 4 days on 4 days off (Rolling) on rotating shifts: Shift 1 - 0500 – 1700 / Shift 2 - 1200 – 2359 Salary: £20k Company Bonus Scheme: Up to an additional 10% of your basic salary Company Mobile Phone & Laptop Holiday: 20 days p.a. (plus Bank Holidays) We have a very exciting opportunity for 4 talented Logistics Coordinators to join our multi award winning and highly successful Logistics Company based in Derby. You will be working for a leading logistics provider of temperature controlled logistics, with our own fleet of vehicles and warehousing. We are not an average company and we do not recruit average people. You will work as part of a team to ensure that accurate planning of the vehicles with a mixture of multi drop and dedicated deliveries, managing time critical logistics solutions throughout UK, Europe and Worldwide, utilizing the company’s bespoke transport management system . In the role of Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for the effective planning of deliveries; this must be achieved efficiently and in accordance with strict operating procedures ensuring optimum internal and external communication both with customer contacts and the network of approved partners. Ideally you should have experience of route planning, shipping, customs legislation, logistics and transport, along with processing the job to conclusion or relevant transferable experience. You will be operating within strict time constraints so you must have experience of working in a very fast-paced, office environment, be used to ensuring that all deadlines are met and tasks are completed, plus paying attention to details and information happening in the office at all times. The shift pattern available is 4 days on, 4 days off on rolling days - working 12 hour rotating shifts(Shift 1: 0500 – 1700 and Shift 2: 1200 – 2359) so you must be comfortable working these hours to be considered for this role. As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for: Scheduling vehicles and drivers effectively Carrying out vehicle & driver audits Resolution of any customer queries in the required and agreed time frames Obtaining driver ETAs through the telematics system Processing PODs and the accurate updating of traffic management systems Utilise our fleet and liaise with carriers to agree transport costs, ensure the best possible solutions are found that fits the client's requirement. Offering different transport solutions where and when applicable. Briefing and de-briefing drivers Interview and inducting new drivers · Ensure that tasks are complete and communicated back to the appropriate person Ensure our bespoke quality and other management systems is correctly implemented, monitored and updated when required. Build excellent relationships with clients so as to develop and grow the business. Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and deal with enquiries quickly.
