Lead Digital Platform Architect - Luton - upto £95,000 Lead Digital Platform Architect required by a Market leading Travel & Tourism client of mine based in Luton. As the Lead Architect on the Digital Customer Hub you will be responsible for; Technical Leadership and Roadmaps You will play a key part in the delivery of large, complex strategic programmes that cut across the Group. You will also represent the Group Chief Architect at the relevant Steering Groups advising and leading them in the direction of commonly agreed group architecture. You need to ensure that the technical delivery aspects of programmes/projects are well thought through solution wise, any wider implications on existing technologies/solutions/programmes are well understood and the business are fully aware to be able to make decisions. Enterprise Solutions It will be your responsibility to work with solution architects of different centres of excellence (digital hubs) to provide an enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing and evolving business needs. You will also have direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise. Continuous Improvement As Lead Digital Platforms Architect you will lead the promotion across the Group of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flow. You will also ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies. In order to achieve this, you will develop a deep understanding of the different and sometimes complex business models operating across the group and produce or influence the relevant Leadership Teams on in the development of a roadmap to bring these different models on a commonly agreed future state business process model and architecture. Business Partnering You will partner and work with senior stakeholders across the Group, primarily source markets leadership teams, Heads of Architecture, Business Leaders and Programme Directors. This will mean acting as a key interface at source market level and representing the Group Architecture function. To be successful at this you will need to demonstrate a full understanding of different business models and our complex technology landscape and all the interdependencies that exist across group functions, source markets and business units. Technology Delivery & Planning: Working with CIO Digital Platforms and the Heads of Products, you will represent Group Architecture on the technology delivery plan that is focused on the delivery and therefore complements programme/project/portfolio plans and architectural roadmaps. An important part of the planning activity is to understand and include inter-dependencies both at a Group solution but also a source market level. You will also be responsible to ensure that Digital Programme deliveries adhere to the quality standards with a quick turnaround for releases. Strategic Initiative work material You will also work closely with the Group Chief Architect and CIO Digital Platforms in creating and presenting strategic initiative work material to in various senior leadership forums like IT Steering Committee and internal/external Sr. Leadership Conferences. Essential Skills Required: Proven experience designing and delivering e-commerce, CRM, integration and mobile programmes. Good knowledge, understanding and experience of large scale and small scale programmes and projects Proven senior technology practitioner with experience in delivering large and complex technology solutions across a variety of platforms. A broad range of technologies and pragmatic architectural approaches. Architectural methodologies / frameworks, including TOGAF 9. Financial modelling of large IT initiatives. Handling IT Governance and operations. Service Oriented Architecture and its application across a broad range of domains. Micro Services would be preferable. Architectural implications of performance, scalability and extensibility on system design and approaches. Experience of working in distributed multicultural teams with near shore and offshore based services providers. This is a permanent position based in Luton, paying up to £95,000 benefits.
