Pensions Consultant - (HR / Reward) - Contract - Bracknell, Berkshire. A global IT services company is searching for a Pensions Consultant with HR and Reward expertise to join their team in Bracknell on a contract basis. Candidates must be an experienced Pensions Professional or Reward Consultant or Manager with pension knowledge and experience. The Pensions Consultant will report to the Pension Manager, the Pension Consultant has day to day responsibility for delivering and managing projects within the Pension Department, including supporting Trustee boards and managing pensions work resulting from TUPE and M&A activity. Our client has three main pension arrangements and a number of legacy schemes. These are a mix of defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid schemes. The Pension Department is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of these schemes and the services provided include administration, managing suppliers, Trustee Secretariat, project management and writing formal communications. The Pension Department is also responsible for the pensions aspects of transactions related activity, including changes brought about by New Fair Deal legislation. The Pension Consultant will be the primary focus for this work, reporting to the Pension Manager. Responsibilities: Providing support for Trustee boards, including: Secretarial support Managing suppliers and advisers Support on governance matters and business planning Strategic consulting Administration Investment support Actuarial valuation support In conjunction with Head of Pension Operations, deputising, where required, for the Pension Manager. Managing and delivering on Pension Department projects, ensuring successful and timely delivery. Managing pensions aspects of transactions related activity, including: Providing input to pensions aspects of commercial contracts - using professional advisers where necessary. Liaising with HR Bid team to ensure progression of pension matters relating to contracts. Writing communication material on pensions matters for employees affected by M&A activities. Delivering pensions presentations to employees affected by M&A activities. Managing the smooth transfers of pensions for staff (both joining and leaving) in respect of M&A activity. Candidates must be an experienced pensions professional or reward consultant or manager with pension knowledge and experience. Excellent communication skills and able to communicate at all levels verbally and in writing. Other skills required include: Strong analytical skills Experience of working in teams, with an ability to build networks and influence others.
