Service Architect £465 per day 6 month contract Role based in Cambridge As one of the most revered leaders in their industry, this technology led organisation is widely regarded as one of Britain’s global success stories. This is a fantastic opportunity to join them as a Service Architect. The IT team at this organisation provides a range of services to support existing and future commercial activities, through working closely with the business globally to develop business change initiatives. Having recently undergone an organisational transformation across IT, a service focused Service Operations team within IT has been established. A programme is underway to deploy industry standard processes based on the ITIL framework. An experienced Service Architect is required to specify, design and support the delivery of ITSM processes to both projects and the Service Operations team. Job Requirements Takes a lead role in the design of the IT Service Management processes Translates project and service operation requirements into a service design that defines the delivery model, people and processes Production of a service model / processes to support operational teams on the delivery of IT services Works closely with projects to lead on the service elements to enable the transition of the project into live production Works closely with Service Operations to ensure that implemented or changed service management processes are capable of delivering to target service levels and performance indicators. Contributes to the service acceptance process by working closely with the Transition Analysts Personal Attributes Confident and organised with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Consultative working style, diplomatic with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with a range of people across an organisation Creative problem solving and analysis skills with the ability where required to identify, develop and implement solutions to meet the needs of the business Self motivated with a can do attitude and comfortable working with ambiguity Skills/Experience Good experience as a service architect with excellent service design skills Global IT service operations experience Knowledge of working within SIAM methodology would be desirable Extensive experience in designing, developing and implementing sustainable and scale-able service management processes and procedures Experience in selecting and applying service management principles, policies and techniques in operational environments Displays a high degree of knowledge relating to service management and ITSM toolsets.
