My client is currently recruiting for an internal sales coordinator to work as a support to the sales team. You will be exceptionally organised and have been educated to GCSE standard (Maths and English at C or above). You will have excellent communications skills and if you have a background in Logistics or Freight Forwarding even better. Primary Function of Job Role This position exists to provide quotations to customers and support the sales team. The individual is required to possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Main Responsibilities Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to secure a booking Maintain and develop relationships with customers in person and via telephone calls and emails Manage sales schedules and the distribution of any sales documentation Generating accurate sales correspondence Liaise between other departments and the client to provide the service most suitable to the client's needs, cost and time restraints Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets Prepare and follow up on any sales quotations Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues Any ad-hoc assignments as requested by management Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop, maintain and improve relationships with customers and suppliers Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to existing work processes Assist other members of the operation as and when requested Skills and Experience required: Strong communication skills with sound business related knowledge Able to work both in a team and also perform independently Previous experience in a customer related environment Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping/Logistics Ability to prioritise and multi-task when required High level of administration ability to effectively manage paperwork Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite Capabilities/Competencies: Customer Centric Planning and Organising Pro-active attitude Learning agility Professional integrity Aptitude for analysis and problem solving Ability to work in a fast paced environment PB Recruitment Consultants Ltd management team have over 35 years' experience of management within our specialist sectors, understanding the importance of reliability and commitment in service provision to ensure targets are met and ultimately customer satisfaction is provided.
