Qualified Commercial Vehicle Panel Beater c£12.00 - £17.00 per hour DOE - (c£26,500 - £37,500.00 per annum) Please Note: You must be qualified to at least level 2 (NVQ, City & Guilds or BTEC) Company: We are recruiting on behalf of a client based in Tonbridge in Kent. The company has been established for over 40 years and is a leading competitor in its industry. The company sells new and used commercial vehicles from all six of their depots across the UK; they also offer other services such as servicing and breakdown cover. Role Overview: This is a great opportunity for a qualified Panel Beater with experience of Commercial Vehicles (light and heavy) to join a modern and busy repair shop. We are looking for a team player to fill this role who will be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines. You must have previous experience and be qualified to level two as a minimum and be able to adopt a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role to ensure continued high levels of work are carried out right first time. The main duties include: • Removing damaged panels • Stripping and refitting trim and panel interior • Refitting new/repaired panels • Repairing damaged bodywork using traditional dolly and hammer • Repairing small dents, holes or corroded areas using a compound filler • Using jig alignment equipment • Using a Strong Puller to pull out any damage to semi-structural vehicle parts, such as the wheel arch or the bonnet • Using a Line Puller to pull out damage to non-structural (cosmetic) panels • Using an Easy Puller to repair minor dents and to refine the work performed by the Strong and Line Pullers on other panels. • Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken to BSI ISO 9002 standards Additional information: • Hours are: Mon-Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour break • 20 days holiday per annum stats (rising t 25 with length of service) • Contributory pension after 3 months probation • Overtime is available to boost earnings (c£18.00 - £24.00 per hour DOE) This job was originally posted as
