Lead Games Developer/Technical Lead - Production/Gaming- London Overview of role We are looking for a Lead/Technical Lead HTML5 Games Developer who is happy to dive into existing projects as well as contribute to new projects from outset through to launch. We want a Senior developer who is passionate about perfection, in return you'll be given licence to express your creativity and work as part of a collective delivering compelling player experiences, having fun while we do it Responsibilities: You will be required to provide leadership, guidance aswell as influencing other developers with the Front End development for our online gambling games. As a Lead Developer you will have many responsibilities across the game studio, to give you an idea of how the development works - projects will be broken into three types, design and build projects, integration projects and legacy projects. During a design and build project the team will develop HTML5 web apps using assets delivered by our design team, based on a supplied maths model and functional specification. To do this the developers will work closely and effectively with our production team (Designers, Project Manager and Development Manager). During an integration project the team will integrate our games with third-party platforms. This will involve constructing communications via an XML interface and or integrating with a client API. During a legacy project the development team will work with legacy code on games which have already been designed and integrated. This may be in response to a bug identified by one of our partners, a game change to meet new regulations, or in order to re-skin an existing game. General Technical requirements: (for all developers) HTML\HTML5 Cross Platform mobile development JavaScript/Typescript Pixi.js/Phaser Solid understanding of device compatibility and performance issues Optimising UI design and animation strategies for performance and bandwidth Experience of working with localised text and different character sets. Expert in client/serverXMLintegration and debugging Working with 3rd party service APIs Understanding of Design Patterns Writing concise, readable and simple code Great team player As you can imagine you role we be split between being hands on and hands off, you will working directly under the developmemnt manager and be seen as his number two within the games and development team.
