We’re recruiting for a central Safety Officers to join our Environment, Health and Safety team. The role will be field based, covering a central field region, an office in Nottingham and will involve regular travel. About the Role As Safety Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring legal compliance with health and safety legislation, providing advice to area management so to enable them to make informed safety management decisions, and ensuring best practice wherever possible. Duties to include assessing workplace health and safety conditions, producing reports, analysing trends and risks, and supporting with the design, implementation, maintenance and review of the health and safety management system. Analytical, with strong problem solving skills and an eye for detail. Computer literacy is a must, along with proficiency in MS Office. You have proven stakeholder engagement skills, and are a confident communicator both verbally and in writing. Always striving to improve upon existing processes, you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo, and are able to work off your own initiative. You’re flexible in your work, and able to travel across your allocated region, with occasional overnight stays as required. A NEBOSH General Certificate qualification is an essential requirement.
