The Operations Director will be fully responsible for an assembly facility in Derbyshire. Encompassing Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and the local supply chain this role will be accountable for leading the ongoing development of the site. Client Details Our client is a leading international manufacturing organisation. Description The Operations Director will be responsible for developing the on-going site strategy which will include the development of processes and systems to drive manufacturing deficiencies year-on-year. Specific responsibilities will include the leadership of: A broad management team including: Production, engineering, quality, HSE and supply chain Creating and delivering the site improvement program in line with the group Developing teams and people to create a succession plan for the site Creating and presenting effective cap-ex plans Working as a wider member of the business for group activities Profile The individual we are seeking will have a proven track record of manufacturing excellence, lean manufacturing and developing people and teams. Specific experience and skills will include: Experience of leading an assembly facility with responsibility across all operational aspects of the business Experience of creating and developing the site strategy Proven experience of developing teams & people Experience of developing continuous improvement activities and implementing lean production systems Ability to led and manage sustainable change Experience of working as part of a wider management team and their ability to manage the conflict that may arise Ideally degree educated in a technical / engineering discipline Job Offer Market rate This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66812625
